WHAT ARE YOUR JOB DUTIES?
I lead a team of inspectors to ensure work is performed according to the contract and DelDOT standards. I prepare estimate payments, change orders, and lead progress meetings. I am also responsible for the general supervision of an entire project and serve as a representative for the department, project designers and other stakeholders.
WHAT DOES THIS JOB AND WORKING AT THIS COMPANY MEAN TO YOU?
I find it very rewarding to see the work I do make a positive impact on thousands of people. I have been able to progress in my career by taking advantage of the education reimbursement program to earn a Project Management Certification as well as enroll in civil engineering classes. The training provided by the State of Delaware within the Supervisory Development Certificate Program has been invaluable to my duties.
REQUIREMENTS
• Three years experience in reviewing construction plans and details, schematics or technical drawings to determine compliance.
• Six months experience in construction design and survey inspections.
