Charles “Charlie”
Atkinson Jr.,
Bahri Logistics
On November 12, Charlie Atkinson, a beloved member of the Port of Baltimore community, passed away at the age of 67.
Atkinson was a National Sales Manager at Bahri Logistics (formerly known as the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia), where he had been employed for more than 20 years.
He worked alongside his good friend Michael Taylor, who had been hired by Bahri on Atkinson’s recommendation. “We worked together for 20 years, but I’d known him since I was 15 years old,” Taylor said.

In addition to his work at Bahri, Atkinson was active in charitable organizations that served the Port and the city, including the Propeller Club and the Traffic Club.

Traffic Club Board alongside Atkinson. “Charlie was the Chairperson for our Charity Committee, and he did an awesome job making sure that we contributed to the various charities around the Port,” Burman said. “That work was near and dear to his heart. He was a really giving, passionate person. To know Charlie was to love him.”
Atkinson is survived by his wife Connie A. Atkinson; his children Chase, Corey and Chelsea; and his grandchildren Connor, Cameran, Desmond and Max.
