Q:How long have you been a ProLogger?
A:I have been a ProLogger since 2007, so 14 years now. My dad, Glenn, has been
a ProLogger since 1997, so 24 years.
Q:What do you like about the program? What are the benefits of being a
ProLogger?
A:I really like that the ProLogger program has real loggers in the videos, and the
material is based on challenges our industry is currently facing. One of the biggest benefits of the ProLogger program is that
it makes you stop and think, whether that
is geared towards safety or just learning another way to do something. Also, it is a great credential. When I am speaking to others about our industry, many do not even know that there is a ProLogger program, and it means a lot to people that our crews are trained and certified.
Base Class
The NCFA successfully hosted three in-
person base classes in 2021, training 72 new ProLoggers. The base class continues to be a success due to partner and member assistance. Special thanks to all of our partners and members who participated throughout — this work could not be done without their strong support.
