The world is run by those who show up.
This year has passed by so quickly already. The NCFA is finally beginning to return to a “normal” year of programming and I am constantly reminded that our achievements would not be possible without the involvement of our members.
The networking, exchanging of ideas, and collaboratively working through issues as a collective are all part of what makes our association so great. It’s clear that we would not exist without our members, but I would argue that without your engagement, we would not enjoy near the amount of success that we have experienced over the years.
Our education programs, our advocacy work, and the ProLogger safety training program are just a few examples of the work our members and committees accomplish every year. The NCFA is working hard to ensure that
our members have opportunities to engage throughout the state so that they
can stay connected and grow professionally. This year, we launched our Young Professionals program. Our staff has been amazed at the number of members that have shown up to get involved with their peers to support the next generation of leadership in forestry.
Finally, our Annual Meeting this year will be held in Greensboro, NC at the Grandover Hotel. We have an excellent slate of top-notch speakers that will provide insights on how forestry in North Carolina will continue to be moving forward in this ever-changing world. If you haven’t previously been involved in the NCFA, this is the time, as there is a wealth of opportunities no matter where you are in your career. I sincerely hope you will consider joining us this fall for the Annual Meeting so we can get to know you better.
