Virtual Panel
If you missed the NCFA Communications and Education team’s second virtual panel, a recording is available on our YouTube page. During this panel,
the NCFA held a conversation about a day in the life of a forestry professional. We answered questions on setting yourself apart, recommendations for focus areas, and potential internships and career opportunities for those in the field of forestry and the forest products industry. The Voice of Forestry in NC
The second video of this 2021 series, which spotlights NCFA members, went live in April and highlighted Lauren Killian, Sustainability Forester for Enviva. She explained what the NCFA

Dr. John Hatcher was invited by NewBernNow.com to present about the forestry industry for Earth Day on April 22.
Legislative Posters
NCFA staff members Dr. John Hatcher,
Amy Juliana, and Amanda Murphy had the privilege of handing out legislative posters
to members of the General Assembly and their staff in April in downtown Raleigh. The gratitude at receiving an updated 2021/2022 House and Senate member poster was

Arbor Day & Earth Day
The NCFA collaborated with the North Carolina Forest Service, the North Carolina Urban Forest Council, NC State Extension Forestry,
and Project Learning Tree North Carolina for social media splashes in March and April to celebrate Arbor Day and Earth Day, respectively. All five organizations shared social media posts, which created engagement online for this important day.
The NCFA also collaborated with the NC Forest Service on a press release detailing the importance of trees for Arbor
