    NEW FORESTRY COURSE Coming to High Schools
We are excited to announce that the AN53 Natural Resources II – Forestry course and associated ForestryWorks® Forest Worker Credential will be launched in North Carolina high school agricultural- education programs in August 2024. The NCFA
will be hosting educator professional-development workshops in summer 2024. Educators are required
to attend professional development to teach the course. Dates and locations will be announced soon!

Announces Scholarships for 2024
NCFA’s Forest Education and Conservation Foundation (FECF) is proud to offer a scholarship program to students pursuing a forestry career in the state of North Carolina.
IN 2024, THE FECF IS OFFERING THE FOLLOWING SCHOLARSHIPS:
• One $2,000 scholarship for a student enrolled at North Carolina State University (NCSU)
• One $2,000 scholarship for a student enrolled at NCSU pursuing an undergraduate degree in forest management through the Nicholas M. Curtis Memorial Scholarship Endowment (see below for information)
• One $1,000 scholarship for a student enrolled at Haywood Community College
• One $1,000 scholarship for a student enrolled at Montgomery Community College
• One $1,000 scholarship for a student enrolled at Wayne Community College
