2024 Sustainable Forestry Teachers Experience
The NCFA will host two Sustainable Forestry Teachers Experience (SFTE) workshops in summer 2024. These workshops provide educators with first-hand experience in all aspects of sustainable forestry in North Carolina. The SFTE program includes:
• Tours of forest management operations and forest industry facilities
• Informative presentations on sustainable forest management
• Hands-on instruction regarding various forestry topics
• Project Learning Tree professional development and activity guides, and
• Access to extensive forestry education materials and resources.
Educators who participate are eligible for CEUs and NC Environmental Education Certification credits.
