• Appropriations for a new NC Forest Service Region One Headquarters in Duplin County
• $1.25 million for NC Forest Service capital improvements
• $5 million for wildfire suppression equipment
• $10 million for the Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund for conservation easements
• A reduction to the personal income tax rate from 5.25% to 3.99% over six years
• An elimination of the corporate income tax over six years, beginning in 2025
• $1.2 billion for broadband expansion
The NCFA also joined members of the business community to support the inclusion of a provision in the state budget to align the tax treatment of the Paycheck Protection Program to federal treatment. The business community was also successful in opposing legislation that would have subverted North Carolina’s well-balanced civil liability system.
