President for Ambulatory Services for Wilmington Medical Center, passed away suddenly in December. The award was presented by his long-time friend and colleague Joseph (Ted) J. Kestner, MD to Dr. Duncan’s wife, Beth R. Duncan, MD, MBA.
On hand to help add to the festivities, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester spoke of the tremendous impact Dr. Petrelli’s work
has had in the State of Delaware and for nearly every family in the First State. Lieutenant Governor Bethany Hall-Long was also present. She spoke passionately about the struggles families go through and the tremendous value of the work being done under Dr. Petrelli at the Helen Graham Cancer Center, which is making a difference from one end of the state to the next. The Lieutenant Governor presented Dr. Petrelli with a tribute from Governor John Carney.
The Tilton Award was presented to Dr. Petrelli by last year’s Tilton Award recipient, Stephen J. Permut, MD, JD. This is the third year for this annual event.
