2021 PROPOSED BUDGET
The proposed 2021 budget was adopted by the Council as presented. Key factors budget that can positively or negatively impact the MSD Consolidated 2021 budget are: Membership, MSDIS Joint Venture Revenue, Education Revenue, MedNet, Conference Center Room Rental Revenue, the impact of COVID-19, and the Annual Mission Appeal Campaign.

RESOLUTIONS
Two resolutions were presented to the Council for consideration. The resolves of each resolution are as follows. Resolutions are numbered and presented in the order in which they are received.
Commitment to Ethics –
Tabled to the next Council meeting (Resolution 01-A2020)
RESOLVED, That the Medical Society of Delaware will continue to support the ethical standards as enumerated in the American Medical Association Code of Medical Ethics; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Medical Society of Delaware allows for ongoing discussion and proposals on the topic of physician- assisted suicide/medical aid in dying.
Healthy Climate, Healthy People of Delaware – Not supported for adoption (Resolution 02-A2020)
RESOLVED, That the Medical Society
of Delaware urge the American Medical Association to work with the appropriate federal agencies to put a price on carbon and other pollutants in order to incentivize industry and the free market to reduce levels of these unhealthy pollutants in our atmosphere; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Medical Society of Delaware urge the American Medical Association to work with the appropriate federal agencies to speed the cessation of the use of coal for generation of our electricity; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Medical Society of Delaware urge the American Medical Association to work with our federal legislators to enact policies to reduce levels of pollutants in our atmosphere; and be it further
“Swag boxes” were sent to the first 40 registrants for the Annual Meeting.
