The Shores of Delaware’s Quaint Villages
Three communities along Delaware’s waterways — Bowers Beach and Little Creek are Delaware Bay shore villages, while Leipsic sits by the tidal Leipsic River — are wonderful places to enjoy fresh seafood, catch your own, or observe the wildlife of our shoreline. (For more about Kent County’s shores, see page 18.)

Among all of Delaware’s Quaint Villages, Milford might just be the one that’s best for strolling. Once a shipbuilding hub, today it’s a center of artistic and creative expression. Follow the Milford Art Stroll — where you’ll discover dozens of art projects that honor the town’s shipbuilding past — or the Mispillion Riverwalk, which links historic downtown Milford with parks, cultural facilities and historic sites.
