The Delaware Biotechnology Institute (DBI) sup-
ports interdisciplinary research at all of Delaware’s
academic research institutions. We foster academ-
ic-industrial partnerships across all levels of the life
science industry, from start-ups to multinational
organizations. DBI houses research laboratories with scientists, students, and faculty work- ing hard to solve problems in agriculture, human health, and the environment. DBI houses high-end instrumentation accessed by resident faculty and the entire life science ecosystem in Delaware and the nation. DBI promotes STEM entry and retention by networking scientists with students and teachers from K - 12 through higher education across the state to inspire the Delaware’s next generation of scientists. (DEMEP) is a federally and state funded nonprofit
organization committed to helping Delaware’s man-
ufacturers improve their global competitiveness.
The Delaware MEP operates as a recipient through Delaware Technical Community College in partnership with the United States Department of Commerce, National Institute of Stan- dards and Technology (NIST), the Delaware Office of Economic Development (DEDO), and the Delaware State and local Chambers of Commerce. DEMEP and the nationwide NIST/MEP network have developed a collection of tools, products and services customized to meet the unique needs of Delaware’s manufacturers, financial institutions, and health care and service providers.
