a professional company that performs plays in the Barn at Ridgeview Valley, and Music at Penn Alps (musicatpennalps. org), a summer series of primarily classical programs, with a focus on chamber ensembles and recitals performed by local artists. The Garrett Lakes Arts Festival (artsandentertainment.org)
puts on theater and musical performances at Garrett College Auditorium. Performances are scheduled throughout 2022.
Garrett College anticipates opening its new Performing Arts Center (PAC) in summer 2022. The PAC plans to host a number of performances, including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and a variety of Garrett Lakes Arts Festival events. The Garrett County Celtic Festival (gccelticfestival.com) celebrates the heritage, music, arts and culture of the Appalachian immigrants from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Brittany. The 2022 celebration has been scheduled for Saturday, June 4.
Summertime means outdoor concerts at Oakland’s Little Yough Summer Music Festival (oaklandmd.com/ly-schedule. html) and at the Stage Wisp Concert Series (wispresort.com/ events). Check the websites for events in 2022.
