Zoe’s Ice Cream Barn promises frozen treats from cow to cone in three days and delivers with Hudson Valley Fresh dairy-fueled soft serve, milkshakes, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches and cakes.
For a taste of high-quality local meat, dig into Terrapin’s half-pound Hudson Valley Cattle Company Burger with house-cut shoestring fries.
Inspired by the bounty of the Hudson Valley, Farmers & Chefs is the perfect place for a fantastic meal with a one-
of-a-kind view of the Walkway Over the Hudson and the river. Local
ingredients include lamb from Dashing Star Farm in Millerton and heirloom peppers, tomatoes and salad greens from Obercreek Farm in Wappingers Falls.
Denning’s Point Distillery features heritage Meadowbrook Farm Apples in their Beacon Apple Brandy, aged in bourbon barrels for two years. Discover notes of cinnamon, ginger and cocoa.
The Hog in Wappingers Falls dishes up Instagrammable breakfast sandwiches, fried chicken specials and bowls loaded with local ingredients like Ronnybrook Farm yogurt and Tiny Greens Farm micro-greens.
Edible Souvenirs
Located on the Taconic State Parkway, 10 miles north of I-84, is a one-stop shop for all things made in New York. The Taste NY Store at Todd Hill highlights many Dutchess products, including Dutchess Coffee Roastery coffee beans, Hudson Valley Skin Care and Horseshoe Brand hot sauces. Purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables at the outdoor farmers market on Fridays from late May through October.
