PROXIMITY AND ACCESSIBILITY
Residents can easily move throughout the county and beyond via multiple, interconnected roadways, 42 train stations, three rail lines and a leading regional airport. A train ride to Manhattan from most parts of Westchester lasts roughly 30 minutes on average.
The $3.98 billion Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge (connecting Westchester to Rockland) opened in the fall of 2018. Today, the Westchester-bound span is fully open to traffic with four general traffic lanes, emergency shoulders, and a dedicated bus lane. Four traffic lanes are also operational on the Rockland-bound span, and the bicycle/walking path debuted in 2020 and is a popular spot
for residents.
