Housing options in Mount Kisco are very diverse, ranging from apartments to sprawling estates — at a wide range of price points.

Like a mini city-within-a-city, the new Edge-on-Hudson development bills itself as “urban riverfront living” — a moniker that well describes what homebuyers are flocking to
in Westchester. Winner of the Gold Award at The Nationals for 2021 Multifamily Community of the Year, the project rises in Sleepy Hollow on the banks of the Hudson River at the old site of Westchester’s GM plant.
Buzzed about for years during development, the project now welcomes residents with luxury condos, townhomes, and apartments as well as, parks, trails, and a waterfront promenade. It also checks the boxes for all the urban-lifestyle components: an upcoming DeCicco & Sons gourmet market plus future shops, dining, office lofts, and a boutique hotel are all in the works.
In addition to the picturesque waterfront setting and views of the Manhattan skyline, the community is attracting dwellers who wish to
be steps from Metro-North rail stations with a short commute into Grand Central.
With the Jacob Burns Film Center
at the heart of the village, at least
10 new restaurants have debuted in town recently. Popular destinations include homegrown craft brewery Soul Brewing Company and Asian- fusion restaurant Fatt Root, as well as Pubstreet, Southern Table Kitchen & Bar, Little Mumbai Market, and
The Taco Project. Vegan restaurant Root 2 Rise has also made a splash, as has trendy newcomer Freddy’s Restaurant from popular chef Matthew Safarowic.
In addition to the Burns, the village’s
best-loved cultural attraction is the annual Pleasantville Music Festival which draws thousands each summer to listen to live music from big-name acts such as X Ambassadors, Crash Test Dummies, and Paula Cole. The year- round weekly farmers’ market is also a key draw for locals.
Housing around the village can be hard to come by, but consists mostly of single-family homes that hover near the $1 million mark to start. Several new downtown apartment projects have added an urban flair to the housing stock.
