                WESTCHESTER BEST PLACES TO LIVE
A Downtown
for everyone
Whether you want all the action of a thriving, urban downtown or the more laid-back appeal of
a charming village Main Street, you’ll find plenty of both in Westchester. Choosing the walkable neighborhood that best suits you is only hard because there are so many great options to pick from! High-rise luxury condos and NYC-level entertainment destinations abound in the county’s largest city centers while mom-and-pop boutiques and buzzworthy restaurants and art galleries are plentiful in Westchester’s smaller downtowns. Either way, you’ll find walkable havens all across Westchester, as downtown living has exploded in popularity.

LIVING IN WESTCHESTER AND THE HUDSON VALLEY | RELOCATION & MOVING GUIDE
Westchester’s city centers are undergoing an unprecedented renaissance, with new residential and mixed-use developments popping
up constantly in New Rochelle, White Plains, Mount Vernon, Peekskill,
and Yonkers.
New Rochelle:
Queen City on the Rise
An increasingly impressive skyline has materialized in downtown New Rochelle, bringing amenities that make this modern city on the Sound more appealing and livable than ever
URBAN LIFE
before. In the last few years, a plethora of live-work-play, high-rise luxury residential developments have gone up, including 360 Huguenot, 1 and 2 Clinton Park, Modera, NewRo Studios, The Arc, 3THIRTY3, The Printhouse, Watermark Pointe, and The Standard. Also in the works are The Renaissance, a $97 million Workforce Housing Group project, and 33 Westchester Place, a 315-unit luxury tower.
New Rochelle is also creating more open, outdoor space, including a large, new waterfront park adjacent to downtown, and the ‘LINC,’ which
will repurpose portions of Memorial Highway into a linear park with ample recreational, pedestrian, and bike amenities. Public transit has gotten
a boost with CircuitNR, a six-seater electronic bus that’s available for free.
Families flock to New Rochelle’s shoreline at the 105-acre Glen Island Park and enjoy indoor fun at the
New Roc City entertainment complex. The city’s diverse dining scene includes a host of authentic Mexican restaurants, as well as upscale favorite Alvin & Friends and slice hotspot Pizzeria La Rosa.
