Irvington
This historic village and home of Washington Irving features spectacular estates and a tree-lined Main Street that cascades down toward its scenic Hudson River waterfront. Peekskill
Offering an artsy, bohemian vibe and striking river views, Peekskill has become an increasingly sought-af ter yet affordable place to live. Don’t miss: The historic Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is the final resting place of Brooke Astor, Washington Irving, and Andrew Carnegie; Kykuit was the majestic home to four generations of the Rockefeller family; Beekman Tavern offers craf t beer and pub grub, while Hudson Farmer & the Fish is a go-to for seafood.
Tarrytown
Ranked by Forbes as one of the prettiest towns in the U.S., ethnically diverse Tarrytown offers breathtaking views of the Hudson, Palisades, and Manhattan. Yonkers
Blossoming with ongoing riverfront and transit-oriented development, Yonkers is New York State’s fourth-most- populous city.
