Hudson River in Garrison. Each summer, the festival attracts more than 40,000 people
– from the tri-state area and beyond – to enjoy fresh interpretations of the work of the Bard, performed live under an open-air theater tent.
The Philipstown Depot Theatre in Garrison, as well as the Brewster Theater Company, are among other noted venues in the county offering live theatrical performances.
Meanwhile, Arts on the Lake continues to host exciting performances, exhibits and art classes at the Lake Carmel Arts Center in the town of Kent. The group offers classes for adults and children, and live musical
performances, as well as a theatre program that has developed the works of local playwrights in an ongoing partnership
with the Blue Horse Repertory. The group also presents major art exhibits each spring and fall.
