Humorist’s debut novel ventures down a dark path
Italian-American Herald
Local humorist Francesca Serritella ventures into the mystery/thriller genre with her debut novel, “Ghosts of Harvard,” which was published May 5.
The novel concerns Cady, a Harvard freshman who becomes obsessed with her brother’s campus suicide. Cady’s search for answers takes her in some dark and unexpected directions as she spirals into paranoia and panic.
Serritella is an award-winning columnist and the daughter of Lisa Scottoline,
a best-selling author based in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Serritella’s column “Chick Wit” appears every Sunday in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“Ghosts of Harvard” arrives with high praise from authors such as David Baldacci, Harlan Coben and Jody Picoult, who described the novel as “part mystery, part
ghost story, part psychological thriller [and] all entertainment.”
Readers who pre-order “Ghosts of Harvard” on Serritella’s website (or send proof of their purchase) will receive a free paperback from the humorous series she writes with her mother. The series includes titles such as “Have a Nice Guilt Trip” and “I’ve Got Sand in All the Wrong Places.” IAH
