2022 Adventures in Abruzzo, Building Bridges, Connecting People, A Gift from My Grandmother
    Marcello, Sonia & Zippi
While sharing photos from my recent Adventures in Abruzzo with readers
of Ciao Bella Living Italian Style News Network, I’m excited to announce I accepted a position as Associate Publisher of The Delaware Valley Italian American Herald News in
print & on-line.
Rob Martinelli, Chairman of Today Media Publishing, which includes
Main Line Today Magazine, Delaware Business Journal & Delaware Magazine released the news in this issue. I am honored & proud to be the first female Associate Publisher for IAH in a time when most newspapers are disappearing.
As Associate Publisher of an ethnic newspaper, I’m excited to work directly with Rob Martinelli to expand the IAH NEWS Brand from Tweens to Seniors
in the Tri State Region with a “Footprint in Italy.” I believe in print & that each issue gets passed around & read by multiple sets of eyes, of various generations. IAH
NEWS readers take pride in being Italian American. With our collaboration, IAH NEWS has developed new Social
Media Marketing features for Tweens
to Seniors, in print with columnists, reporters & journalists & on-line with social influencers, bloggers & vloggers.
I look forward to collaborating in print & on-line with young Italian Americans
like 14 year old Vincent Lorenzo, New Jersey, who keeps his grandfather’s memory alive as a veteran & to William Kaiser, a young man working on his West Chester University Master’s Degree on a WW Study of Italy 1930-1950. And, my great-nephew Ryan Johnston, 6th grader Stetson Middle School, West Chester building The Colosseum in Rome for his project. This makes me happy & proud. E mail me your student story & photos.
I LOVE A PARADE & Top on the list,
AN ITALIAN FESTIVAL.
IAH NEWS created a unique Social Media Partner-ship which includes Digital Links & Weekly Facebook & Instagram posts distributed through IAH NEWS to assist the many Italian American event coor- dinators, organizations, societies, non- profits, foundations & museums who need cost effective support, in spreading their news. IAH NEWS will host a series
of Meet the Publisher opportunities in
the Tri State Area covering Delaware, Montgomery, Chester & Delaware Counties, plus in New Jersey, Hammonton, Collingswood, Glassboro & Cape May Counties. Not listed, consider joining the IAH News Team ‘Feet on the Ground’. Working together, we can Preserve Italian Heritage, Culture & Tradition. My 2022 Adventures in Abruzzo, Building Bridges, Connecting People, A Gift from My Grandmother, continues upon my return from Italy, this time, staying in touch with Acciavatti & Nobilio cousins thru the wonders of What’s Ap. Ciao Bella Living Italian Style is proud to represent their first international public relations client, University of Milan Professor Nicola Ioppolo, creator of An Animation Cinema Laboratory within his History of Cinema Exhibition in Loreto Aprutino. He can make cartooning come to life for companies & authors, and is a unique category for Film Festivals.
Watch Facebook Abruzzo Sister
Tours grow, as friend Sonia Ceritano from Drexel Hill, PA & Virginia, house rented, adventures to a new life in her grandmother’s home in Castel Castagna, Italy, a magical medieval village along Gran Sasso mountain top, population 100. With her sister, Gelsina, you’re in good hands. Meet their Dad Nino & the Town Locals at Marcello’s, all vibrant & happily retired successful businessmen returning to live in their hometown village. Bravo Sonia! I look forward to returning.
Enjoying excursions with the next generations:
Andrea, Paolo, Camilla, Aida, Nino, Carola, Greta & Irene. What special blessings at sacred sites of Pilgrims, off season, Roaldo Acciavatti gave me
San Giovanni Rotondo, home of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, Irene Acciavatti blessed me with Holy House of the Virgin in Loreto, also known as Home of the Black Madonna & Sonia & I witnessed the miracles at St. Gabriel’s Shrine & Sanctuary in Isola del Gran Sasso.
The Nobilio Sisters, Rita, Carla & Simona
introduced me to their world of friends. Fellow journalist Sabrina De Luca, Editor in Chief of Lacerba, Abruzzo’s monthly newspaper similar to IAH covering Phila- delphia & Delaware Valley, in print & on- line. And award-winning Italian novelist, Donatella Di Pietrantonio, whose best- seller L’Arminuta, recently released in English, won the 2017 Campiello Prize. Di Pietrantonio wrote the film’s subject
& screenplay with Monica Zapelli. Giuseppe Bonito elegantly films a coming-of-age story in 1970s rural Italy. Lessons learned, women in Italy & USA share similar passions & concerns. Look for future collaborations. Ladies, please consider us a stop on your next USA visit.
My wish for peace in Ukraine so we may all travel again with peace of mind & to once again share in the Pope’s Sunday Blessing from his window overlooking The Courtyard of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
