Bravo South Philly for showing us, regardless of race, religion or politics, when everyone comes together, amazing things happen. Italian American Jody Della Barba of Girard Estate, in Rizzo Style, spread the word ‘far & wide’ with great support from WPHT Talk Radio Host Dom
Giordano & the community successfully stopped the Safe Drug Injection Site due to open ‘without notice’ at the former St. Agnes Hospital. Let’s share that vision of unity throughout the USA & Globally to end this medical war. Next ~ Rizzo 100 Hank Cisco Style ! October 23, 2020.
Bravo to International
artist Brigida Michopulos DiGenova on her inaugural 2020 Philadelphia Flower Show Riviera Holiday miniature exhibit winning
a 3rd Place Ribbon. Her Adriatic Sea themed sculpture, seen by over 200,000 visitors, will be on display at The Art Gallery at Echo Hill Farm. The Meet the Artist Reception will be rescheduled along with other gatherings when conditions permit.
Bravo to Renee Patrone Rhinehart, creator of www.PartyHostHelper.com, their METRO NYC Division
was named in Modern Luxury Manhattan Magazine’s 2020 “IT LIST” for Entertaining. When restrictions lift and you
throw a party, their services relieve you of the hosting pressures. Divisions in New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, California, Chicago, Florida, Texas, Boston, Washington and DC...... the list goes on.
Bravo to Beth D’Addono, food & travel magazine writer crazy about New Orleans, has a feature in AAA Magazine “Pass the Mudbugs, Please.” We WILL be traveling again
& when we do, check out this former Delco resident’s recommendations.
Over 75 Chester County leaders of heritage organizations & historical
commissions gathered at the www.MarshaltownInn.com to create a common voice to advocate for the
historic preservation of Chester County’s role in history. Perfect timing with the USA 250th Celebration in our children & grandchildren’s future. Host Chef David Cox, known for his ‘french style’ cooking, & current owner of the tavern in service since 1814 & built in 1793 on West Strasburg Road has a house specialty that sounds
Italian to me: ‘gnocchi served with sausage, broccoli rabe
& parmesan broth’. When conditions permit, check it
out along with 18th Century Historical Bank Barn Tour & S’mores at Echo Hill Farm in Thornton.
Bravo to Joe Di Angelo, Dean of St. Joseph’s
University Haub School of Business. With a BA from St. Joe’s, an MBA from Widener and a Doctorate from Temple, Di Angelo shows his passion for higher education & commitment to students
as he continues to teach as a professor. St. Joseph’s University ranked a Tier One school by CEO Magazine for their MBA Program will once again receive students from GEMA Business School in Italy when global conditions permit.
Coincidences, a call from
Larry & Lynn Giacchino (Carman Auto Group)
about entertainer www. SteveSilicato.com & the
next night, we’re celebrating ‘la famiglia patriarch’ James May’s birthday at www. PescatoresRestaurant.com Route 202 in Glen Mills with wife Bette Lou & Aston resident Anita Trofa and guess who’s entertaining. When conditions permit, share a delicious meal with family & friends enjoying the smooth sounds of Steve Silicato, think “Frank, Dean, Elvis and Motown.”
Natalie Stone, www.BellasBiscotti.com
is proud to report hubby Anthony Stone has been promoted to VP & General Manager of Holman Lincoln Ford. The Turnersville Team, a repeat winner of The 2019 President’s Award exceeds customer expectations.
This pursuit of excellence requires energy, enthusiasm, unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction & hard work. They also earned the ONE LINCOLN ELITE status which recognizes the #1
ranked Lincoln Presidents Award winner. Bravo Anthony & The Turnersville Team!
Bravo Dr. Anthony “Tony” Stephen Fauci, NIAID Director since 1984 on being “America’s Doctor” during this medical war.
Born 2nd generation Italian American in Brooklyn Hospital on Christmas
Eve 1940, he worked with
six presidents. A ‘behind the scenes’ search to share his Italian roots is filled with love stories too. His maternal grandparents were from Naples. Raffaela Trematerra a seamstress & Giovanni Abys, artist & illustrator
for Italian magazines who
designed commercial product labels, think olive oil cans. His paternal grandparents were from Sciacca, Sicily and ran a Hot Springs Spa where grandfather Antonino Fauci met his USA born wife, Coligera Guardino while
visiting the spa. Sounds like
a love story. Both sets of grandparents immigrated to New York City via Ellis Island at the turn of the 20th century in Lower Manhattan’s Little Italy, where Tony’s mom, Eugenia Abys (Hunter College), and dad, Stephen Fauci (Columbia Grad &
Pharmacist) were born. Settling in Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn they met in 8th grade & married one year after high school. Another love story. More on Dr. Fauci next month.
Homework Assignment:
“6 Degrees of Separation” How do you connect with “Tony Fauci”, America’s Doctor. Post your findings on CiaoBellaLivingItalianStyle’s Facebook page.
