Building Automation System
The Hologic facility expansion project showcases ModernControls’ excellence in innovative construction practices and teamwork. With a $20 million investment, Hologic expanded its facility by over 100,000 square feet of office and lab space, requiring a cutting-edge Building Automation System (BAS) to control HVAC needs. ModernControls integrated state-of-the-art Johnson Controls Facility Explorer controllers, ensuring precise environmental control, energy efficiency, and remote troubleshooting capabilities. Teamwork between ModernControls, Timberline Construction, I.D. Griffith, and several engineers
was critical in addressing challenges and delivering the project on time and within budget. Throughout the project, the teams had to adapt to construction changes, work around occupied spaces, and modify designs, showcasing resilience and collaboration. This project underscores ModernControls’ ability and commitment to delivering advanced, efficient systems and a high standard of service.

EASTERN HIGHWAY SPECIALISTS
I-95 Emergency Repair Project
Eastern Highway Specialists swiftly responded to an urgent call from DelDOT regarding bridge damage that was impressively resolved within the same business day. The team immediately mobilized heavy equipment and manpower, working in close coordination with DelDOT to stabilize the bridge, clear debris, and reopen the road by 1pm, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic. The quick response and adaptability of their team, including the coordination of subcontractors, allowed them to address the dangerous situation efficiently. This project highlights Eastern Highway Specialists’ excellence in rapid problem-solving and teamwork under pressure.
