U.S. 301 Maryland State Line to Levels Road
This major new highway venture was a segment of the U.S. 301 Expressway Project. This project entailed major earthwork, paving, utility stormwater and bridge construction and required close coordination with
DelDOT and highway contractors working
on other 301 segments. In 2018, Delaware saw the most precipitation in its history, its third-longest cold stretch on record, and in the same year experienced its fifth-hottest summer since 1895. In spite of encountering extremely adverse weather conditions this critical transportation project was completed on time.

Del 1. NE Front Street Grade Separated Intersection
This challenging overpass construction project in the City of Milford was completed 197 days ahead of schedule and within the project budget despite encountering harsh weather conditions during much of
the project. Instead of waiting to pour the bridge deck in the spring, Diamond Materials employed the use of glycol heating system that kept the concrete a constant temperature. This allowed the pouring of the deck, approach slabs and parapet walls on the bridge during the winter months. Diamond Materials worked with DelDOT and DNREC to test several new techniques and materials in erosion control measures throughout this endeavor.
