Wilmington Transit Center –
Site Remediation
This urban brownfield remediation project required significant logistical execution because of the contaminated soils and the unknown obstructions associated with the age of the site. The location was the former grounds of a tannery and fuel facility in the heart of Wilmington. This site had been chosen as
the future home of the DART Wilmington Transit Center. The project was completed within
a very aggressive condensed construction schedule.

Slaughter Beach Scenic Overlook
The project included construction of a scenic boardwalk overlook, viewing area and observation deck on the 109-acre tract now known as Marvel Saltmarsh Preserve at Slaughter Beach. Work had to be completed on an accelerated schedule because of environmental constraints. This project was designed to highlight the Delaware Bayshore Byway and incorporate a living classroom into the Saltmarsh. The project was completed ahead of schedule without compromising craftsmanship.
