       36 | GIVING GUIDE 2020/2021
in a welcoming, patron- centered environment.
HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
As Delaware’s home for the performing
arts, what takes place on the stage is only
a part of The Grand’s leadership role in the
cultural vitality of the region. The Grand
hosts numerous events each year for
200,000 patrons and visitors, including our
own performances, community functions,
rehearsals, recordings, instructional services,
and the activities of our partners and resident
companies — all within the beautiful setting
of our three venues. Furthermore, our arts education opportunities provide a holistic approach to arts education using theatre as a complement to classroom learnings.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
There are a number of opportunities for corporations, foundations, individuals, and small businesses to sponsor or donate towards the mission and purpose of The Grand. Individual donors enjoy benefits such as donor pre-sales, artist meet and greets, and private tours of the historic theatre. Sponsorship is available for many Grand events.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Grand has over 300 volunteer show corps members (ushers, bartenders, and other administrative tasks) that donate over 25,000 hours of service towards their operations. The Grand also has a number of committees
and task forces that community members may be considered for.
LEADERSHIP
The Grand is proud of the commitment it inspires from both its staff and volunteer leadership, and the institutional stability that creates. The Executive Director and several other senior staff have been with The Grand for ten or more years. A number of board members also have long stable tenures.
