HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
For 45 years, we have been an anchor in the community. We’ve embraced this role during the COVID-19 pandemic. Community is critical during the most difficult times in our lives. We are here to provide support, resources and opportunities to connect with one another. During our last fiscal year, 69,818 people visited the Center and 5,128 people received services through our programs, including:
• 4,703 people fed by our Claymont Food Closet
• 270 members joined our Brandywine Senior Center
• 125 students received instruction in our ESOL and Learning Center programs • 30 students participated in our Empowered Youth program
Each one of these statistics represents people whose lives were made better by the Center. Your support helps make this happen each and every year.
We can’t thank you enough!
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Our four signature programs — Food Closet, Senior Center, Learning Center and Youth Services — are funded by grants and private contributions. Members of the community can support CCC by giving to one of our program or by sponsoring one of our special events, including our Festival of Lights and C3 5K Run/Walk. We are always looking for donations of food and personal items.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteering for a CCC program can be a rewarding experience. We offer a wide array of opportunities such as preparing donations and distributing food in our Food Closet or tutoring children or adults. Our staff is always glad to speak with potential volunteers to match their interests with the needs of those we serve.
