Patricia Rivera began her career in
print journalism with the New York
Times, Th e News Journal and the
Dallas Morning News. She decided to
pivot to marketing and telling stories in
multiple languages and across a variety
of mediums. Since launching Hook PR
& Marketing in 2008, the company has
blossomed into a team of 15 members
in four diff erent countries. Now with
chief operating offi cer Dora Jane
Barwick and chief marketing offi cer
Jessica Bell, Hook PR has been working
to shape words into powerful tools and
messaging into information for all. Past

Ivan Thomas
The DETV Foundation Inc.
Ivan Th omas is a self-taught fi lmmaker
while cultivating more skill in
cinematography under the study with
Philadelphian cinematographer Tim
Fontaine. From there, he used his
skills for DE.TV, Delaware’s premiere
broadcast and social media content
provider that shares positive stories
and news about the First State’s
largest city. Th e channel has grown to
include Good Morning Wilmington,
Th e Agenda, DETV Kids, and more.
Th omas has also successfully lobbied
Wilmington City Council to manage
the city’s Public Access/Leased Access
(PALA) television station and secured
broadcast rights to Delaware Blue
Coats games.
