This year, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of the peaceful integration of high school students into Claymont Public School. Also, we were named an affiliate site of the National Parks Service’s Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site in Topeka, Kansas.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Our four signature programs — Food Closet, Senior Center, Learning Center and Empowered Youth — are made financially possible through grants and private contributions. Members of the community can support the Center by giving to one of our programs or by sponsoring a special event, including our Festival of Lights and C3 5K Run/Walk. We are seeking donations of food and personal hygiene items throughout the year.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteering for a CCC program can be a rewarding experience. We offer a wide array of opportunities such as sorting donations and distributing food in our Food Closet or tutoring children or adults. Our staff is always glad to speak with potential volunteers to match their interests with the needs of those we serve.
