Scientific collections include the tenth largest
mollusk collection and the second largest bird
egg collection in the nation. These collections document biological diversity and environmental changes over time, providing scientists with crucial data.
More than 18,000 school children enjoy curriculum-supported education programs each year, with half from underserved areas.
