NICKLE ELECTRICAL COMPANIES
In the electrical $5-10 million category, Nickle Electrical Companies is awarded and Excellence for the University of Delaware Whitney Athletic Center. Nickle’s scope of work for the 125,000-sq. ft University of Delaware Whitney Athletic Center included new primary service to a 4,000-amp switchboard and a new 750-kVA generator to feed a new 800-amp distribution board and 400-amp existing feeder. New distribution, power, lighting, security, tele/data, lighting controls, and two new 5,000 field lights were also installed.
GEORGE & LYNCH
In the site/civil category under $2 million, George & Lynch is honored with an Excellence for the Pump Station 2 Rehabilitation project. Located at the base of the Dewey Beach water tower, the pump station was old and showing its age. Sussex County Engineering teamed up with G & L in a design/build capacity to build a new and improved pump station.
