“Classic” is the appropriate word to describe the kitchen of this historic home in Rye. Rising from the large-for- mat limestone flooring (by Country Floors) is an aesthetic mélange of painted and natural-walnut finish-
es. The custom cabinetry by JWH in Weathered Trellis features raised-pan- el inset doors with exposed nickel hinges. The walnut theme extends
to the center island, which boasts a Rohl Shaws apron front sink, and is repeated on the custom hood detail and interior cabinet shelves. The built- in window seat not only disguises the radiator but also provides a cozy spot for family meals.
