The goal for this young,
busy family was to create a space that offered function- ality, plenty of storage, and
a seamless flow. Two islands were incorporated (one for prep, the other for eating)
to help with organization. Lighter woods and porcelain countertops were selected for visual interest. Wolf applianc- es and a backsplash with bold veining above the stovetop are upscale additions. Trendy open shelving allows ease
of access. The open-concept design (the kitchen opens to
a dining area, bar, and living area) works well for the Rye family’s lifestyle, as they spend a lot of time in the heart of the home.
