This holiday concert will be devoted to Handel, including Part One of the composer’s most popular oratorio, Messiah, performed by soloists, choir, and organ. This part is often referred to as the “Christmas” portion of the work, although much of the text is derived from the Old Testament. The program will also include one of Handel’s delightful organ concerti. The finale is fit for a king. The company will play “Zadok the Priest,” originally composed to celebrate the coronation of King George II in 1727. The concert is free and not a part of church services; however, proof of vaccination is required to attend. bedfordchamberconcerts.org
