2020 ANNUAL MEETING CANCELED
Each and every year the team at the NCFA looks forward to working with members of the planning committee on the annual meeting. It is a time to catch up with old friends and make new
ones, learn more about our industry, and recognize our members that have contributed greatly to our association and the forest products industry. The expectations for this year’s meeting were high given that we were going to meet at the Biltmore Estate — the birthplace of modern forest management in the United States.
Unfortunately, Governor Roy Cooper’s announcement to extend phase 2 through September 11, 2020, eroded the executive committee’s hope that mass gatherings would be permitted in early October. Moreover, the executive committee felt that if conditions did improve by September 11, 2020, there would not be sufficient time for the NCFA and our members to properly prepare for this year’s event.
In light of all of this information, the executive committee has voted to cancel the 2020 annual meeting. We hope you all will join us in 2021 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.
