And if you have the abil- ity to describe your situation either by recording video or an audio note or by typing a text, then these potential wit- nesses, these people who are nearby, can see that description as well.”
The app is available now on The App Store and Google Play, and GLBG is working to get campuses and churches — both groups that can provide large user groups to get the app off the ground — on board. “We don’t want Eye Need A Witness to be

DUPONT SPECIALTY PRODUCTS DIVISION
CHANGING THE WORLD BY: PUTTING THE HUMAN MICROBIOME TO WORK IN MAKING US HEALTHIER
Headquartered in Wilmington, DuPont’s Specialty Products Division continues to deliver on the legacies of both Dow and DuPont. The division focuses on electronics and imaging; transportation and advanced polymers; safety and construction; and nutrition and biosciences. Two of the division’s

most forward-thinking areas of work right now involve the human micro- biome and autonomous vehicles.
The human microbiome — a complex microbial ecosystem of more than 1,000 species — comprises tens of trillions of microbes that live in and on the human body. Understanding and modulating the microbiome, according to DuPont, has the potential to delay the onset of chronic diseases and, in some cases, even restore and promote overall health. The DuPont Microbiome Venture is a small entrepreneurial team deploying strategic partnerships and investments to develop products based on micro- biome science.
Another of the company’s innovative initiatives is AHEAD, which stands for Accelerating Hybrid-Electric Autonomous Driving. AHEAD is coming up with solutions that will aid in the development of lightweight, durable, reliable, electric, autonomous vehicles.

CHANGING THE WORLD BY: BUILDING THE HOUSE OF THE FUTURE
Inside, the brand-new, detached house on North Jefferson Street in Wilmington looks like a bright efficien- cy apartment, with its two bedrooms and one bath over just 660 square feet. The house, though, is special: it’s made of straw bale and has a solar panel roof.
If it sounds like a house built of straw bale wouldn’t last long, consider that research by the University of Bath in England has shown that walls made of straw bale can withstand hurricane-force winds — a result supported by the fact that 19th-century straw-bale houses still stand in parts of Nebraska.
