If Wilmington REALTOR® Harry Wooding hands you a business card, you may notice that there are quite a few acronyms next to his name.
Each of these acronyms is called a “designation,” and a REALTOR® who has earned them has gone above and beyond to acquire new skills. Wooding’s designations include in-depth study of working with older adults, advocating for a buyer and negotiating.
He actually teaches that last course, which helps REALTORS® take the emotion out of the process of reaching an agreement. Buyers and sellers are often sidetracked by their emotional attachment to a house or their frustration with the other party. Removing emotion as a barrier to buying and selling real estate is just one element of Wooding’s course on negotiation.
Passing the course gives REALTORS® their RENE, or Real Estate Negotiation Expert, designation. Wooding will be teaching it at this September’s Delaware Association of REALTORS® annual convention.
