From the famously fertile farms of the Wallkill Valley’s Black Dirt Region to the scenic overlooks of Sterling Forest State Park, home of the annual New York Renaissance Faire, the region’s bucolic charm is remarkable by nature.

There’s no shortage of attractions and amenities here, including the historic United States Military Academy at West Point; 14-mile Heritage Trail, which passes through Monroe, Chester, and Goshen; and LEGOLAND New York Resort, slated to open in 2021. Daytrippers
