Partnering with the Westchester Business Community
“Today, 100% of our students receive experiential learning opportunities as part of our curricular design. This includes internships relevant to their studies, as well as diverse practicums and service-learning projects in partnership with our local business community. It’s so important for
us to be engaged in the community beyond our 100-acre campus,” he says. “That is one of the reasons I appreciated being invited to join the board of the Business Council
of Westchester.”
The college has hosted several events for The BCW, including a recent forum on Artificial Intelligence (AI), featuring experts from Regeneron and IBM whose companies are pioneering uses of the technology, as part of the Council’s current focus on AI. "We had 120 business leaders join us on campus to listen and learn from national and regional experts. It was extremely useful to members, and I was proud the college could convene our leaders in the County. We look forward to further partnership with the BCW and our local business community. They have an impressive board, and a remarkable leader in Marsha Gordon.”
Ideally Situated for Success
According to Dr. Sánchez, Westchester offers the Manhattanville community a unique setting. “There are
so many selling points,” he says. “As an outsider coming in, we enjoy the best of all worlds. The best city in the world
is just minutes away, beaches are 10 minutes away and mountains are 45 minutes away. Above all, we have a robust network of business partners across various industries, providing ample opportunities for our students to immerse themselves and excel.”
