BREWSTER
An historic community about an hour north of New York City, the village of Brewster sits along the east bank of the Croton River. Nature lovers will be enthralled with Green Chimneys farm, where they can sample idyllic landscapes and experience special events like Little Folks Farm Day and Birds of Prey Day, as well as the Harvest Festival. Foodies will be drawn to Salinger’s Farm Market for orchard fresh fruit and baked goods. Visit the historical Southeast Museum, the home of village founder Walter Brewster, and Morningthorpe, a tudor-style mansion and historic landmark. For an old school, mid-20th century roadside food experience, Red Rooster Drive-In is not to be missed.
HUDSON HOUSE RIVER INN – COLD SPRING
Built in 1832 and operated as a hotel
since then, the Hudson House River Inn
is truly part of Hudson River history. The Hudson House is located on the serene waterfront approximately one hundred feet from the Hudson River in the quaint village of Cold Spring. Featuring breathtaking views and a fine dining restaurant, the inn is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
