It’s time for Wilmington to take its place in the national spotlight as a safe, clean, family- and business-friendly, vibrant city with the confidence to invest in its own continued rejuvenation and growth and the appeal to attract investors from both the public and
private sectors. According to Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki, 50,000 people work in the city each day and more are moving here to fill the 1,000-plus new apartments that have been built recently.
Making Wilmington’s outdoor public spaces even more inviting for residents
and visitors is another priority for city officials and organizations.
“Our public spaces are more beautiful, including our large city parks, the Riverwalk, the wildlife refuge, and the two rivers running through Wilmington,” Mayor Purzycki says.
