CCHS – Stanton Site – Hybrid Operating Room
This project involved the electrical infrastructure to support construction of the first of its kind in the State Hybrid Operating Room at Christiana Care. Included was over five miles of wiring. The project was logistically complex involving coordination with multiple trades, the integration
of specialized internationally sourced medical equipment, the owner’s stringent scheduling requirements and the challenges of working within an operating hospital. In spite of all these challenges work
was completed within the requisite completion deadline.

Claymont Rail Yard – High Mast Lighting Project
This project provided lighting throughout an active rail yard. The work included working with a 50-ton crane astride and adjacent to active tracks in a safe manner. The schedule was controlled by the demands of remote corporate decisionmakers. Preferred Electric installed three 120-foot mast lights over 1,000 feet of #4/0 wire through eight railroad rated manholes and 25-foot deep trench which they also constructed.
