DCA hosts many social and educational events designed
to inform and entertain its members, while providing opportunities for them to interact with each other, their customers, other industry members and government
and business leaders. The activities offer something for everyone, including: the Annual Crab Feast; Spring and Fall Golf Outings; the Annual Meeting
in October; Semi-annual CACC Luncheons; the Governor’s Safety Awards Dinner & Member Expo; Sporting. Clay Events in the Spring and Fall; Legislative Breakfasts; and numerous other events
and outings.
In addition, DCA provides regular opportunities to meet with candidates and elected officials. This year, Wilmington’s Mayor Michael Purzycki

2017 GOVERNOR’S SAFETY AWARDS
The Delaware Department of Labor and DCA have sponsored these awards since their inception in 2001. The awards were established to recognize and emphasize the importance of safety in the construction industry by commending those companies who have led the way in promoting safety in the workplace.
Applications are evaluated by utilizing the following criteria: frequency rate of total recordable incidents; safety program’s documentation; policy and management support; training and orientation; work rules and administration and procedures.
The following companies were the winners of the 2017 Governor’s Safety Awards, which were presented at a dinner and a Member Expo held on March 22, 2018 at Cavalier’s Country Club:

spoke at the Spring CACC Luncheon, and University of Delaware President Dr. Dennis Assanis spoke at the Fall CACC
Luncheon. In addition, Michael Jackson, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, spoke at the March Legislative
Breakfast; and Secretary of State Jeffrey W. Bullock spoke at the October Legislative Breakfast.
