people of all ages to a lifetime of exploration and discovery.
                       HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
Our purpose is to help develop a caring society that respects and values our planet. Encouraging our visitors to explore and discover is at the core of what we
do, whether it’s through exhibits, events,
programs, or connecting with partnering
organizations and scientists. Museum
researchers maintain our expansive
collections of mollusks and birds, including
the second-largest collection of birds’ eggs
in North America. Educational programs include summer camp, school tours, community outreach visits, scout activities, and other initiatives.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
We are in the midst of our most ambitious capital campaign since opening
to the public in 1972, reimagining our main galleries, public spaces, and educational programming. While we are closed to complete our transformation into the Delaware Museum of Nature and Science, you can help by donating
to our Annual Fund, the Museum Metamorphosis Campaign.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Information about volunteer opportunities will be available in early 2022.
