HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
• Advocating for clean water, access to open space, farmland protection, addressing climate change, protecting wildlife, and growing renewable energy (including assisting in securing $50 million in funding for clean water and $10 million in funding for farmland protection in 2021)
• Distributing thousands of pounds of our organically grown produce for members and local families in need
• Hosting educational programs for children and adults to connect them to the natural world through in-person and online courses
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Memberships and donations support our work, including but not limited to:
• Reaching and Engaging Through Nature to Empower Wilmington (RENEW):
school programs and internships for students living in the City of Wilmington
• Environmental Advocacy: Secures funding for important issues such as
open space, farmland protection, clean water, and climate change
• Bird Conservation: Research of breeding, wintering, and migrating birds,
and habitat protection and restoration
• Regenerative Agriculture: Coverdale Farm Preserve—one of four DelNature
sites—practices conservation farming methods that improve soil health, biodiversity, water quality while adapting to a changing climate
