HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
OUR MISSION
West End provides programs, services, support and advocacy when and where they are needed to ensure our families become self-sufficient.
Year established: 1883 Number of full-time employees: 59 Number of part-time employees: 43 Annual revenue: $6,991,715 Geographic service area: Statewide
We provide the tools our customers need to
become self-sufficient. Anthony, a senior at
William Penn, has participated in our Bright
Spot Farm program since 9th grade, and has
truly grown over the years, from a shy and
reserved teenager, into a confident leader.
Through his work on the farm, he placed 1st
at Delaware’s Future Farmers of America
State Fair with a project based on Social
Systems in Agriculture. After college, he plans
to be an entrepreneur, and start his own farm. With his help and our other youth, the farm provides free or reduced cost, local produce to more than 600 low-income individuals each year.
