STEP SAFETY AWARDS
In 2017, 39 ABC Delaware companies were presented STEP awards, the ABC National Safety Training and Evaluation Process Awards.
The STEP award program provides an organized approach to analyze and further develop a company's safety and loss prevention program and provides a vital, objective method to measure safety program improvements. STEP award certificates are given for silver, gold, platinum and diamond.
The awards are presented in four categories: diamond, platinum, gold and silver. This year, 36 member companies were honored with awards.

NATIONAL SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Each year, ABC National awards National Safety Excellence awards that recognize companies who exhibit a continued commitment to job site safety and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee. Awards are based on data submitted via STEP applications, essay questions and video interviews with company owners. Award categories are based on a company's total work- hours per calendar year. We are pleased to announce that two ABC Delaware members—Color Works Painting and Wayman Fire Protection—were presented with this award at our recent National WorkForce Development conference in February.
