waterfront, across a pedestrian bridge, and back towards the This route highlighted many destinations for which the group thought better pedestrian connections were needed, such as Town Hall, the Charlestown Athletic Complex, Charlestown Log Park.
Three intersections along the route currently have sweeps that move motorized traffic quickly but do not offer much protection for pedestrians. The group came up with solutions for each intersection that could help slow traffic and improve pedestrian crossings, including trail connections were also discussed, including trails from to the Athletic Complex, along Peddler’s Run, and through Foot Log Park. The group identified areas where sidewalks could be widened or added, as well as other ideas, like installing bike racks and improving signage.
