POUND RIDGE The family wanted to create a grand space in their backyard
for entertaining, cooking, and play. The anchor was a multifunctional pool house where they could lounge, eat, shower, dance, and paint. The challenge was that the yard is a rocky terrain with more than 100 feet of slope. The solution was to create a new floor by cantilevering the struc- ture out over the slope. The final two-story house packs multiple functions into 2,150 sq ft.

LARCHMONT The criteria for this Tudor-style pool house was to create a large family lounge area, pool support space, and rooms not avail- able in the main house. The centerpiece of the pool house is the large lounge designed to provide a comfortable indoor/ outdoor room for relaxing
and watching TV that can also accommodate holiday dinners for 30 people. The final design connects well to the main house and the pool; however, the interior design is less tradi- tional and more rustic modern. Other Contributor: Glen Gate Company, Pool and Landscaping;
