HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
For over 40 years, Student Advocacy has been providing legally based education advocacy to over 500 students annually in Westchester County. We serve students ages 3 to 21 who are at risk for academic failure or dropping out of school due to disabilities and other challenges. The families we serve are predominately from immigrant and low-income backgrounds. We assist them in accessing the educational supports and services to which their children are legally entitled and that will help them remain in school and succeed.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
You can support Student Advocacy students in their quest to achieve academic and personal success through individual donations, gifts of stocks and securities, sponsoring our annual Overcoming the Odds Awards Celebration (OTO), and corporate and foundation grants. Online giving is available at www.studentadvocacy.net/donate-today.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers are key to the success of OTO where we honor the achievements of students who have overcome challenges. Nominations are received from schools throughout the County. We invite you to join the OTO Selection Committee to help choose the students who will be recognized at our May 2023 event. For all volunteer opportunities contact: 914.347.7039, x101.
